# Deployment

Backify deploys your application from the repository and branch connected to it. For new Backify Cloud applications, GitHub Actions runs the build and Backify publishes the resulting static files. Create a preview to review a change before publishing it. When you publish, Backify applies your organization's access rules and approval requirements, then makes the release available in production.

The portal shows build, preview, and production status. If a release causes a problem, use the application's deployment history to roll back to an earlier healthy release.

Backify retains data created by stateful features such as databases and storage when your application stops using them. Review and confirm a deletion in the portal when you intend to remove that data.
